I find it hard to understand the logic. The greek majority reject the parties that follow the conditions imposed by membership of the Euro, but still wish to remain in the Euro. I don´t get it.

Being a retired Registered Dietitian and having lived in Greece for the past eight years I feel qualified to comment. Greek children suffer from inadequate exercise and regular consumption of fast foods. It shocks me to see the endless delivery of fast foods at 3 in the afternoon. Obviously many mothers aren't cooking! Schools should offer health programs that include exercise and proper nutrition focusing on healthy food choices and simple food preparation.

The Greeks of Cyprus and Greece gave the right to Turkey to represent the Ottoman Empire in Cyprus in the 1950s and with the help of the British a defunct empire became part of the negotiations for an independent Cyprus. Turkey became a "guarator " of the Republic of Cyprus in 1960, but even then it has an obligation together with England and Greece to keep the RoC UNITED and INDEPENDENT. All this is in the UN constitution and all resolutions sinse 1960. Who is now responsible for the whole situation ? The whole world and their indiference to other peoples' suffering and destiny. For this the world has to act and restore Cyprus as one country with majority and minority rights as they are or the whole world one day will wake up realizing that bigger problems will come out for ALL.
