Events to commemorate the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus

Two Panhellenic assemblies in Thessaloniki and Athens will be taking place on Wednesday 19th of May on the occasion of the remembrance events to mark the anniversary for the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus, under an initiative of the Pan-Pontian Federation of Greece.
In Thessaloniki, the event of May 19th, which has been designated as a Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus will be taking place this year as well in the Square of Agia Sophia at 19:30 and in Athens at Syntagma Square at 18:00.
As the organizers said, given that last March it was recognized as a genocide by the Swedish Parliament, in the assembly of Thessaloniki, the speakers will be the MP of the Swedish Parliament, Nikos Papadopoulos and the former president of the left party of Sweden, Gulen, Avci.
