Suspects in Grigoropoulos death to be bailed on Sunday

The two police officers, Epaminondas Korkoneas and Vassilis Saraliotis, being tried in connection to the fatal shooting of teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos in December 2008 are due to be released from custody on Sunday, June 6. The judge in the Amfissa court where the trial of the two police officers is being held has ruled that the two suspects should be freed on bail because they have completed 18 months in custody. Both men have been barred from leaving the central Greek town and will have to report to the local police station every morning and evening until a verdict is delivered. They have been on trial since February.
