Panathinaikos Linked With Paulo Sousa Move

The Greek side are looking for a replacement for Kostas Antoniou and Paulo Sousa is one of three targets according to the Western Mail. Rene Henrikse and Yiannis Samaras are the other 2 names linked with the job.
Whoever is appointed for the role would work above coach Nikos Nioplias and would mainly co-ordinating the club’s transfer dealings. However, the Director of Football would not be involved in the training sessions.
A ‘source’ told the newspaper:
“Paulo is on the shortlist and will be given proper consideration,”
“If the board did decide to approach him, they would be able to make him a very good offer.
“He has exactly the sort of package they are looking for. He is a big name with experience at some of Europe`s biggest clubs and he is a figure that would please the fans.
“He has got contacts throughout Europe which is a big thing for this job. The board are looking for someone with stature and Paulo is still regarded as a superstar out here.”
The Western Mail, a newspaper never to duck away from a story like this about the Swans!
