Τwo teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, on Monday confessed to the murder of an 80-year-old man in the village of Kerkini, Serres prefecture, northern Greece who was found stabbed in his house on Sunday.
According to police, the two teenagers broke in the elderly man’s home and attempted to take from him money by using several methods. When they realised that the man would not give them any money, they decided to kill him, stabbing him 15 times.
The girls escaped the house through the window but they were spotted by neighbours who later found the body.
The teenagers will be led before a prosecutor.
