Greek- Cypriots: The European court adjudicated a claim for damages

The European Court of Human rights adjudicated a claim for damages to 9 Greek-Cypriots because of the loss of their properties.
The European Court decided that these 9 Greek- Cypriots have to receive a compensation for moral and material damages that vary between 10.000 and 40.000 euro while with the same decision Turkey is obliged to pay the costs. With this decision, the European Court open the door so that other Greek-Cypriots can assert their authority on their properties in the occupied territories.

We have to make clear the fact that this decision of the European Court is not opposed to another decision according to which the children of Greek-Cypriots do not have the right to obtain the property of their parents.
