SYRIZA (Coalition of the Left, Movements and Ecology) party president Alexis Tsipras referred in Istanbul on Friday night to the ongoing economic crisis at the 6th Social European Forum.
During his speech he mentioned that “the strategy that was being followed in the name of growth, meaning the decrease of incomes, the deregulation of labour relations and the dissolution of the social security system is returning today, even more aggressively, as a strategy for the crisis to be handled.”
The sessions of the 6th Social European Forum,in which activists and representatives of parties from all over Europe gathered to discuss society’s response to the economic crisis, came to an end today.
