A 54-year-old beekeeper was arrested by the Fire Department’s arson squad, charged in connection with a forest fire that broke out near Athens’ northern suburb of Politeia on Thursday evening.
The beekeeper was doing upkeep at his beehives, which resulted in the outbreak of the fire, which destroyed a small forest expanse before being contained by firefighters late Thursday night.
