According to an official announcement made on Friday, Athens will donate more than 15,000 items of clothing and footwear as well as 200 bicycles to students at Greek schools in southern Albania. Athenian mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis, at an event that took place in Kontzia square, delivered the items to the organisation Youth of Northern Epirus. The following week, municipality trucks together with members of the association Youth of Northern Epirus will transport the items to be delivered to the students. According to Kaklamanis, this initiative shows the good relationship status with our neighbors and constitutes part of the coordinated effort to support the Greek language.
