Two wildfires broke out yesterday on the mountain of Veles. The mountain is in the region of Platanakia and in Livadia village. Firemen from Serres, Sidirokastro and Thessaloniki still are battling the blaze in order to constrain the two fire fronts. In a few hours a Canadair aircraft will join the coordinated efforts in order to extinguish the fire as soon as possible. The police department is further investigating the causes of the two wildfires.
