There is a strong interest coming form abroad concerning the Greek Railway (OSE), according to, an interview in the Wall Street Journal given by denationalization Secretary, of the Ministry of Finance, George Christodoulakis.
“We have serious international interest for OSE and expect to denationalize and restructure this institution within the next year, whereas its expected to be marginally profitable”, Mr Christodoulakis, explained and then referred to the correct usage of State property, “there area number of large estates that we plan to sell or lease with multi annual contracts … we are working very hard to present a strong and attractive investment program to attract the international markets ‘.
In the same interview Mr Christodoulakis, says, that the Government has programed a large number of denationalizations during the next thee years ( 2011-2013), and thus generate a revenue close to 3 billion euros according to the Governments estimations.
