PM Attends Presentation of Digital School in Limnos

From the Aegean island of Limnos, Prime-minister George Papandreou said we would succeed provided we believe in our forces and have confidence in our country. Mr. Papandreou visited the island to attend the official presentation of the Digital School by the Education Ministry leadership. The event was directly transmitted by the National School Network. In the morning the Prime-minister attended events marking the 98th anniversary of the islands liberation.
After expressing his happiness for celebrating with the islanders the 98th anniversary of Limnos’s liberation, Mr. Papandreou stressed “each Greek region has its beauties but also a huge number of productive human resources that has not been projected”.
“We only need to free this dynamic from wrong doings, rely on our longstanding values and traditions of our society for the growth of our country based on our comparative advantages and not borrowed forces”, underlined the Prime-minister.
And Mr. Papandreou added: “… we will do this, and if we believe in our forces and have confidence in our country, we will succeed”.
The Prime-minister attended Te Deum at Agia Triada Church, next he laid a wreath at the monument of ones fallen for the liberation of Limnos and attended the students and military parade.
The Prime-minister was accompanied by Education Minister Anna Diamantopoulou and Education undersecretary Evi Hristofilopoulou, alternate Minister for Environment and Energy Nikos Sifunakis as well PASOK candidate for North Aegean governor Nasos Yiakalis.
