The two main Greek workers unions of GSEE regarding the private sector and Adedy regarding the public sector, have announced a new general strike for December 15th. The strike is a protest against the new 6.1-billion-euro measures contained in the 2011 budget presented yesterday in Parliament. It is expected that the communist union of PAME will join the strike too. In a joint statement, the two unions announced that in addition to the general strike; the eighth one against the austerity plan, workers will cease working for three hours and demonstrations will take place on November 25th.
