Pharmacists Strike for Three More Days

Pharmacists have decided to strike for three continuous days after the decision by the Panhellenic Pharmacist Union.
Next week there will be a second round of three day strikes on the same days. At the end of January, the Union will discuss their future actions.
The President of the Union Thodoris Abatzoglou stated: “The dialogue with the Ministry finished abruptly, since it was just for shows. We disagree in four basic points: the suggested opening hours, that is exhausting, the ownership which is the most important for our side, the discounts towards the NHS that are exaggerated, and the population criteria that will cause thousands of new pharmacies to open destroying the pharmaceutical system.”
