Dimitris Christofias said on Thursday that the energy issue has political significance and political implications, calling politicians and press to move carefully.

George Papandreou said that energy is a sensitive area and stressed that Athens and Nicosia have convergent interests in the energy area, where they cooperate and jointly decide.
Note that energy policy is the main theme of the European Summit in Brussels on Friday.
