Population of Cyprus Increased 0.8% from Previous Year

The population of Cyprus in the government controlled area was estimated at 803.200 at the end of 2009.  This indicates an increase of 0.8% from the previous year, according to CyStat’s demographic report for 2009.  The account of population developments and data on a time series were based on fertility, mortality, marriages, divorces and migration.
