The government has issued travel advice to Cypriot nationals, asking them to avoid places of mass gatherings either in Libya or in Bahrain, because of the volatile situation in these two countries.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that in the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, violent demonstrations are taking place in the eastern areas of the county. Consequently, citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, who intend to visit Libya, are advised to avoid places of mass gatherings,” an official press release says.
