Greek University Entrance Exams Start Today

Today was the first day of exams for students’ entrance to Greek universities. There were about 110,000 candidates participating to claim 75,000 seats in universities around country. The first subject they were examined on was “Essay”, the topic  was related to “Children’s Relationship with Internet”.  Education Minister Mrs. Anna Diamantopoulou, wished students good luck. Compared to last year’s candidates’ success, there is  expected to be 10,000 less accepted into higher education, while 24 university departments will not have any seats for first year students. According to the Ministry of Education, this year there will be a limited number for every special needs group of first year students, like those who are members of large families or whose family faces health problems.
