Filorama Film Festival Runs May 19th-July 13th

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Ama Films distribution company, the Asty Cinema’s annual Filmorama will span over two months, with three different screenings a day, the daily Kathimerini reports.
Starting on May 19th and running to July 13th, the Filmorama will feature 168 titles spanning the history of cinema, with three daily screenings having been selected to represent recurring themes or trends and covering such diverse ground as contemporary Korean cinema to all-time classics and films adapted from plays to different versions of the road movie.
The event will also include tributes to a number of directors, among them greats such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Mike Leigh, Orson Welles, Luis Bunuel, Atom Egoyan, the Marx Brothers, Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti, Jean-Luc Godard and Dario Argento.
The cost for the three daily screenings is the price of one ticket, while the Asty will also be issuing a special discount card for the entire event, which costs 40 euros. This year’s Filmorama is also dedicated to film critic Yiannis Bakoyiannopoulos, who headed one of Greece’s most influential and longest-running television shows in cinema and was also a member of the film club that began at the Asty in 1950 and later evolved into the Greek Film Archive.
