Checks carried out on Greek fruit and vegetables concerning E. Coli bacteria have produced negative results.
An official announcement issued by the Agricultural Development and Food Ministry noted that checks were carried out, in cooperation with the Federation of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exporters, on 80 samples of cucumbers and about 50 other products such as peppers, tomatoes, eggplants, leafy vegetables, potatoes and cherries from all the production regions of Greece, adding that the results for all the samples examined were negative.
