The new port in Patra went into operation June 11th without any hitches. The first two ships docked at the port and many of the first passengers that embarked were satisfied and happy to be a part of history . No problems or dysfunctions came about on the first day of its operation, making it plain sailing for everyone involved.
Patras Port Authority (OLPA) was pleased with the smooth operation but they are still prepared to improve any problems that may arise with the infrastructure.
Patras now has a new infrastructure that will support its role as a gate of import and export in Europe, stated the periphery’s governor of Western Greece A. Katsifaras.
