Legendary “Philip” of Mykonos has passed away suddenly at the age of 60 from pneumonia complications. Philip Georgiou-Kontizas has written his own history on the island of winds. Together with his wife Chrysa Kontiza, they had hosted and entertained many generations in their popular restaurant over the past 30 years. The news of his death has shocked all those who knew him and he will be greatly missed. His funeral will take place on Sunday, July 16th at noon, in the Panachrantou Church in Mykonos’ town.
