How much Does Private Greek Education Really Cost?

 Greek families spend over 5 billion dollars on private schools and lessons. This sum corresponds to the money the government uses for the Public Education.
According to research, Greeks begin to attend private lessons, from a very young age, in order to improve their grades at school, learn foreign languages or acquire other skills like learning how to use a computer. As a result, Greek families have many expenses every month.
5,1 billion euro were spent in 2008; 645 million on foreign languages, almost 900 million for private lessons at schools or tutors and the rest for the tuition of private schools.
