Taxpayer Identification Numbers at Risk of Deactivation

According to the decision of the Ministry of Economics, starting in September, Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN) will be deactivated when false or insufficient information has been given, if the holder of the TIN has not declared his income for two consecutive years, or if his business has no economic activity.
Those interested in keeping their TIN’s active will receive letters to go to the tax office within a month’s time or their TIN will be considered deactivated for the Register Taxes.
Businessmen whose TIN’s have been deactivated, will not be able to make an income tax declaration on the internet, receive certificates, authenticate cash receipts, or have any transactions with the public sector.
The deactivation of the TIN does not block the payment of all debts.
