Charalabos Kounoupas is 106 years old! He is still healthy and has the strong heart of a teenager!
After the proposal of two journalists Giannis Kanellakis and Manolis Padinakis, the town of Agios Titos, the Local Cultural Society, the Women Union of Amari, and the Association of Oil Producing Municipalities of Crete decided to organize a tribute to this man who has lived over a century, created a respectable family and recalls so accurately his memories of the cruelty of multiple wars.
As the man said to the local press, he has experienced many difficulties over his life time, and has done all kind of jobs.
His secret for longevity is to avoid excess and control your life; moderation in all the things, he says.
