The Minister of Defense Panos Beglitis sent a message to Turkey that Greece will support her own national sovereignty rights according to the International Law and the International Treaties regarding the continental self and the Exclusive Economic Zone.
Regarding the cooperation between Cyprus and Israel in the energy sector, Mr. Beglitis claimed that Greece will support the national sovereignty of Cyprus, if it is necessary.
The President of the Extreme Right Political Party Mr. Karatzaferis said he welcomes the cooperation with Israel.
Mr. Beglitis finally said that the cooperation with Israel in the energy sector does not change the country’s position regarding the Palestinians. Greece complies with the UN decision of 1967 for the creation of a Palestinian state. However, he notes that Israel also has the right to be safe. The Minster will soon visit Israel.
