Univeristies Against New Higher Education Law

The Polytechnic Schools of Athens and Crete postponed the beginning of September exams as meetings of the students’ unions will take place this week.
The governing body of the University of Crete said that they will follow any legal procedures against the new law regarding Greek Higher Education and will support any similar movements by other universities.
The young supporters of left wing political parties believe that this law will destroy the Greek universities. In addition, they believe that the law undermines the critical thought and the scientific knowledge as well as the ability of students to fight for their rights.
