Ark Festival is an entirely Greek organization that became very popular after its inception last year. It was a sold out event, taking place only for two days and it has been a subject matter during its recent first show in Thessaloniki.
This festival, placing emphasis on the support and love of music, and is the starting point for the greatest party that signals the beginning of the next season in our city.
The atmoshpere of “Texnopolis” in Gazi will be transferred in real time all around the world with continuous updates and photos from Facebook, Twitter and the festival’s iphone app.
On the 12th and 13th of September, Ark Festival is going to overwhelm the place of “Texnopolis” in Athens again, using the music as the only “remedy” fpr the economic difficulties that Greece faces.
The Ark Festival 2011 has invited many song artists from the new generation that are supposed to create songs for long time in the future. The “newcomers” of the festival are: Locomondo, headliners of the 1st day with Burger Project and Phoebus Delivorias, Leonidas Mpalafas and Panos Mouzourakis, keeping up their success in the Ark of Thessaloniki and lastly, Ska Bangies.
The 2nd day will have following performers: Monika, Maraveyas Illegal, Natassa Mpofiliou that appears for the 1st time in the Ark Festival, Imam Baildi and the newcomer Gaudi.
All these singers will be singing for their lives, demonstrating to their audiences the true meaning of the festival.
