During its annual Conference at its premises in Sounio, Greece, the Board of Directors and the General Meeting of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), chaired by Professor Giuliano Amato, former PM of Italy, decided yesterday to establish an annual award for those persons or institutions promoting the Greek-Turkish friendship in any possible way.
The proposal was made by professor and member of the EPLO board, Dr. Eser Karakaş of the Bahçeşehir University in Instanbul, Turkey, while the relevant decision included the scheduling of an annual lecture to be delivered by a prominent Turkish figure in a university of Athens.
