The organization “Alma Zois” is fighting against breast cancer and provides free prevention medical care to all women wanting to be examined.
The percentage in Greece of breast cancer diagnosis is significantly low, only at 10%, in comparison to other countries where this percentage is up to 60%.
Many women are afraid of getting examined but early diagnosis saves lives. Breast Cancer can be cured, but the odds of survival greatly increase if detected at an early stage.
The organization gives the opportunity to women in Salonika to get tested from October 3-17, after having booked an appointment from September 29 to October 7 via Telephone: 2310 2851 38.
Doctors will examine the women and provide tests such as ultrasound or mammogram at reliable centers, if necessary.
According to the statistics 98% of women do not have cancerous growths, they just find out usual problems which can be easily treated.
