Weapons Confiscated at Greek-Albanian Borders

The police station of Epirus has detected 2 kalashnikofs, 3 weapon’s magazines, 66 fuses, 1 bayonet and 1 grenade in a forest area of the municipality of Amarantos-Konitsa, located within a stone’s throw of Greek-Albanian borders.
Policemen estimate that the weapons would possibly be received by members of a gang that are supposed to be significant arms exporters.
Police personnel waited to ambush the recipients of the weapons but they never appeared at the scene of the crime.
Authorities are now carrying out an investigation to determine where these weapons may have come from and who was to receive them.
