Free Information Seminars About Study, Employment, and Visas to Australia

Roula Tsiolas, the Chief Executive Officer of AISI (Australian Industrial Systems Institute) will be conducting a series of free seminars in Athens on the 8th and 9th of October to provide information about training and study opportunities in Australia for motor mechanics, builders, and professional trades people.
Topics that will be covered will be the content of AISI courses and the professional pathways that they lead into. Topics will also include employment opportunities and how to have trade skills recognized in Australia. The seminars will also cover general questions about migration to Australia, which will be conducted by AISI’s professional migration lawyers based in Athens.
Motor mechanics, carpenters and building trades are greatly needed in Australia. According to the Australian Department of Immigration these jobs are in demand in Australia. People in trade professions can be sponsored by either the Australian state governments or Australian employers or they can apply for a visa to Australia as a skilled trades person.
However, for qualified Greek trades people, the process of applying for either a sponsorship or a visa to Australia is confusing and complex. “Many Greek people think they can just go to Australia through a relative or on a tourist visa, find a job and everything will work out.
Unfortunately, the Australian visa system doesn’t work that way. Qualifying in Australia in your trade profession means your skills have to be recognized by the Australian government” said Roula Tsiolas, “People need to be able to make choices about their prospects of having their trade skills recognized in Australia. We believe that these free information sessions can provide the information and assistance that people need to make the most informed decisions.”
