Schaeuble: Euro-Zone Members Confident Of Resolving Greece's Woes

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said Saturday that euro-zone members were confident of resolving Greece’s debt woes.
He also said G-20 finance ministers and central bank governors meeting in Paris acknowledged the efforts made by the euro zone to contain its sovereign debt crisis.
Schaeuble said a report on Greece by the Troika of European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund, and European Commission was due on Wednesday. Euro-zone officials have said they need the report to make progress on Greece.
“I am confident that we will solve Greece’s problems,” Schaeuble said. “But Greece’s problems cannot be solved in one step; it will take many steps.”
On the issue of leveraging the euro zone’s bailout fund, European Central Bank member Jens Weidmann repeated his rejection of any plan that involves tapping European Central Bank funds. He also said the International Monetary Fund should concentrate on its core activities.
