Α 53-year-old Albanian was arrested by the Greek police in the northwestern village of Krystallopigi in Florina after trying to smuggle 81 kilos of hashish into Greece in a tanker truck .
The drug dealer is allegedly part of an illegal drug trade gang active around the Greek-Albanian borders and had been wanted for quite some time by both countries’ authorities.
The 53-year-old dealer is charged with transporting 81,4 kg of hashish last June into Greece through the customs station of Krystallopigi to deliver to a 50-year-old Greek drug dealer in Sindos of Thessaloniki.
During a police operation back in June, the Albanian dealer had managed to escape the arrest, while his Greek accomplish had been taken into custody.
