Samaras: I Never Wanted a Coalition Government-Elections in Three Months

After a couple of hours Papadimos’ government sworn in, Antonis Samaras, head of Greece’s opposition party made a statement saying that he never wanted a coalition government and repeated for once more that the only thing that matters to him is the elections that will take place in three months.
“New Democracy, will work with Mr. Papadimos’ transitional government and we sincerely hope that he will achieve his goals. We’ve taken over two critical ministries, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that bear national symbolisms and play a vital role in the country’s fate. However, I didn’t want a bigger share in this coalition and anyone can understand why..”
Mr. Samaras  made clear that the only reason ND actually agreed to a coalition government  is to get the sixth part of  the bailout loan and that he still doesn’t agree on the mix of austerity measures Greece has taken. “Our political beliefs are not shirts that we actually change whenever we like. We still don’t agree with the policies Mr. Papandreou implemented.”
