Avramopoulos to Visit Cyprus on Thursday

Greece’s new Defence Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos will visit Cyprus on Thursday, as agreed during a telephone conference on Saturday with his Cypriot counterpart Demetris Eliades.
According to an official announcement released in Nicosia, Eliades telephoned Avramopoulos to congratulate him on his post and to invite him to visit Cyprus.
Avramopoulos accepted the invitation and will visit Cyprus on Thursday.
The new Greek defence minister also reiterated Greece’s steadfast support for the Nicosia government’s efforts to reunite Cyprus.
