An Athens court decided Friday to postpone the libel trial of German magazine Focus until December 15.
The defense lawyers of the 13 accused German journalists for the obscene Venus cover had asked for the removal of the three judges of the case, after these had accepted the thesis that the cover could pose an offense to every Greek.
However, the defense’s appeal was rejected leading to a new date for the actual trial.
Focus is going through trial in Greece for its cover from February 2010 depicting a statue of Venus draped in a Greek flag and making an obscene gesture.
Focus has denied the charges and none of the defendants attended the proceedings so far.
