A 25-year-old man was arrested in Crete on Wednesday after confessing to the police that he had murdered his grandmother the day before.
The woman, 85, was found dead in her house near the city of Iraklio with several stab wounds on Tuesday, while her grandson had set fire to the room in order to cover his tracks.
The 25-year-old had originally denied any involvement in the gruesome case but then told the police that he killed his grandmother for having allegedly put a spell on him.
