180 Priority Projects WIll Create 100,000 Jobs

Some 11.5 billion euros are to be invested in Greece, from European and national funds, in 180 priority projects aimed at creating thousands of new jobs (between 90,000 and 108,000).
This is according to the European Commission, which has released figures on the structural funds provided over the period between 2007 and 2013.
The economic resources are necessary for tackling the crisis, and in countries such as Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Romania, can cover up to 95% of planned spending.
After reprogramming of EU financing, half a billion euros in European funds can now be used in Greece to allow investments in small and medium-sized enterprises, but also to guarantee funds for major national projects.
