Cruise Ships Arrive At The Port Of Souda In Chania

The development of cruise tourism in Greece can contribute to the development of the country’s economy, since more than 140,000 visitors are supposed to arrive at the port of Souda in Chania of Crete.
According to data, revealed by ‘haniotikanea.gr‘,  three cruise companies, twelve cruise ships, sixty four arrivals and more than 140,000 visitors are expected for this year’s cruise tourism sector concerning Chania of Crete.
Tourism agencies aim to establish the port of Souda as an ideal cruise port. Within this framework, the agencies will focus on the old port as well as on the improvement of the services offered to tourists.
The first cruise ship for this year is scheduled to anchor on the 4th of April and it belongs to the cruise company ‘Seabourn Cruises’, while the last cruise ship (Royal Caribbean company) will depart on the 19th of November from Souda port.
