Eurovision 2012: Eleftheria Eleftheriou for Greece

The Greek representative for the Eurovision content was chosen tonight live from River West Mall in Athens. Eleftheria Eleftheriou, with the song Aphrodisiac, will represent Greece in the forthcoming Eurovision.
Tonight the Greek audience decided who will represent their country in Baku. A show that lasted 2 hours was prepared by the broadcaster in River West mall.
Eleftheria Eleftheriou is the lucky one to fly the Greek flag in May and she will perform her song Aphrodisiac on the Baku stage.
Eleftheria Eleftheriou (23) was born and raised in Cyprus. At the age of 16, she tried to go to the Eurovision Song Contest for her homeland Cyprus and came 7th in the Cypriot final.
Her second attempt was 4 years later for Greece, but her song was leaked before the date set by ERT and was subsequently disqualified.
Eleftheria made it to the spotlight in 2009 when she took part in the Greek X-Factor. Despite being one of the hot favorites to win, she was eliminated during the fifth live, something which came as a shock to everyone. But her disappointment did not last long as Sakis Rouvas, one of Greece’s superstars, who was hosting the X-Factor show, offered her a place in the club he was singing in at the time.
