Greek Author Εugene Trivizas Donates 4,000 Books to Greek Diaspora

Famous Greek author Eugene Trivizas donated 4,000 children’s books to the Minsitry of Education, which will be distributed to libraries and schools of the Greek Diaspora.
Trivizas met with both the Deputy Minister of Education, Evi Christofilopoulou, and the newly appointed Minister of Education, George Babiniotis, and discussed among others the prospective of establishing an International Foundation responsible for the functioning of libraries and theatres for Greek children living abroad.
According to the Greek children’s books’ author, maintaining contact with the Greek language and literature is of high importance for the children of Greek migrants residing abroad.
Moreover, the discussion focused on the writing of educational material aiming at promoting and boosting the imagination and creativity of children, the production of educational material for children facing dyslexia and learning disabilities, and the development of pleasant and entertaining learning methods.
A first step towards achieving these goals would be the writing of a comic book presenting the Ancient Greek language and Modern Greek grammar to elementary school pupils.
The Greek Minister of Education expressed his full support for the actions proposed.
