Children's Art Museum in Athens Wants To Motivate Kids To Explore Language

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art in Athens, in a bid to attract children to the Museum, organized educational programs addressing Pre-School and Primary School pupils, as well as for children with special needs, which will take place May 5-6.
The Museum aims to turn children’s visits to the museum into a pleasant and creative experience. With the support of audiovisual material and various game-like activities, children learn the use of the language as a communication system.
For children aged 3-6, on the ground floor of the museum, several programs will take place, such as the “Who lived in the Museum?” project. Titled “If trees could speak…,” the young visitors will also create a story based on artwork of the exhibition. “Chatting with the tree” and “Tree, I give you my word” are some of the art workshops of the Museum.
As for older children, aged 7-12, they will also have the opportunity to participate in the “One language for everybody” project. On the first floor of the Museum, they will discuss the human language. “How would our life be if we couldn’t talk?,” and “Do images talk?” are some of the projects, which children will be involved with. They will also create, with the help of their tutors, an alternative way of communicating using their body and pictures instead of words.
