36 popular and successful personalities, all working in the book sector, will attend the 9th International Book Fair in Thessaloniki from May 24-27.
Internationally recognized and award-winning director Emir Kusturica will attend. The Serbian filmmaker will present his second book titled And Where Am I in the Story? This year’s event honors Serbia, so Kusturica is the perfect person to open the event.
Another popular author, whose books became bestsellers in Greece very fast, is Victoria Hislop. The Island captured worldwide attention and Hislop became one of Greeks’ most beloved writers, since the book travels its readers back to Spinalonga island- Greece’s former leper colony, situated close to Crete.
Hislop will present her latest novel, The Thread, which refers to Thessaloniki’s history, following people’s stories of love and loss.
Turkish author Metin Arditi, French Marion Richez and Polish Agata Tuszyńska are some of the famous writers, among many others, who will visit the book fair.
