Greece Outlines New Greek Government; Prime Minister

Fotis Kouvelis (L), Antonis Samaras, Evangelos Venizelos

A new Greek Government will be shaped by a New democracy (center right), PASOK (socialists), and DIM.AR (left) coalition, according to comments of the majority of Greek media.
PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos and DIM.AR leader Fotis Kouvelis commented positively on the possibility that Greece will have a new government by tonight, exiting after a meeting.
New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras will be the next Prime Minister of Greece as initial objections by the leaders of PASOK and DIM.AR have now faded. Samaras has been holding talks on forming a coalition since Sunday.
A new cabinet that will surround the new Greek prime minister has not been announced yet. Venizelos, exiting from a meeting in Athens, said that he expects Greece to have a new government by the end of the night.
The winner of the last June 17th elections, New Democracy, broadly favors Greece meeting international debt obligations, while PASOK and DIM.AR certainly want Greece to stay in the Eurozone.
With the 99.85% of the vote counted, the Greek election results showed New Democracy coming first with 29.6 percent of the vote and 129 of the 300 seats in Parliament. The radical left anti-bailout Syriza party had 26.9 percent and 71 seats and the pro-bailout Socialist PASOK party came in third with 12.3 percent of the vote and 33 seats. The extremist far-right Golden Dawn party had steady support, getting 6.9 percent of the vote and 18 seats.
