Manchester United is perhaps the most famous football (soccer) team in the world, with millions of supporters in many countries, and now it has a fan club in Greece. The Manchester United Greek Supporters Club is officially recognized by the English team.
According to the Hellenic Club press release, almost 100 members signed up in less than a month. “Apparently, this number is quite small for Manchester United importance. It is just the beginning and many more members are expected to join in the following months. Mostly residents of Athens and Thessaloniki are aware of this new Club for the time being, but also few Greeks living abroad,” the release stated.
