Princess Caroline of Monaco loves Greece and visits often, and recently returned to spend some days on Spetsopoula islet close to Spetses, enjoying the sun and the beach. The islet, owned by Stavros Niarchos, is a favorite of hers.
Apart from Spetsopoula, Princess Caroline enjoyed some walks around neighboring Hydra and Spetses islands as well. The Real News newspaper wrote that she was dressed casually but still chic.
The Niarchos family are good friends of Princess Caroline and her family and have hosted her on their villa on Spetsopoula several times. According to the same report, Caroline is attracted by the scenic alleys of Spetsopoula and the other two neighboring islands, while she spent many hours a day swimming in the deep blue Saronic Gulf.
The Royal family of Monaco and the Greek shipping family have been close family friends for many years. Prince Pierre Casiraghi, Caroline’s son, has been caught by photographers in New York and elsewhere partying along with his good friend Stavros Niarchos several times.
