EU Comm: Troika Team To Take ‘Brief Pause’ In Greek Talks

The negotiations between Greece and its international creditors will take “a brief pause” and most of the team of international inspectors will leave Athens for about a week, a European Commission spokesman said.
The break had been decided “for some time,” and is “not an indication that there are problems” in the talks, the spokesman said at the regular midday news briefing here.
A team from the troika – the Commission, the IMF and the European Central Bank – has been in Athens since the first week of September negotiating a package of E11.5 billion in budget cuts to get Greece’s bailout program back on track.
