Authorities in Greece say the captain of a boat has been killed and four tourists have been injured in an explosion off the island of Kos.
The Merchant Marine Ministry said the blast on the tour boat occurred Saturday near the port of Mandraki, off the east Aegean Sea island, killing the 54-year-old captain. The cause and extent of the explosion weren’t immediately clear.
Four people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to local officials, while 24 other passengers disembarked at Mandraki unharmed.
