Greek Inflation Slows to 0.9% in September

There’s not much good economic news in Greece these days, except for a report that said the country’s annual inflation slowed in September. According to the data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority, consumer price inflation dropped 0.9% in September 2012 from 2.5% in August and in comparison to 3.1% in September 2011.
In the period from October 2011 to September 2012, compared to the same months a year earlier, the annual average rate of change of the CPI was 1.9%. The corresponding annual average rate of change of the CPI in the previous year (October 2010 to September 2011), was 3.9%.
